Elder’s Dinner

We come together to celebrate our elders and express our gratitude for their leadership and experience and repay the unconditional love and respect they bless us with everyday. By coming together to share a meal, MALO fosters a safe space for reconnecting, as well as a reminder to be thankful for our elders continued support. All are welcome!
IKUNA Goal-setting Workshops
Annually @ First United Methodist Church, Ontario CA
Starting from 2018, MALO has helped prepare Tongan students going back to school by equipping them with skills such as goal setting and responsible time management, in addition to necessary supplies like backpacks and notebooks. Rooted in inspiring ‘ikuna’ or success within our youth, these workshops cultivate supportive, encouraging, and motivating learning spaces through engaging exercises facilitated by Eleni Soakai.
Annual Showcase

This educational showcase is a space for the MALO community to foster a deeper connection to the larger Ontario community through traditional performance and delicious Tongan foods, on the basis of gathering as a community and family to celebrate Tongan culture.
