Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Update for San Bernardino : San Bernardino County clinic will give out the Pfizer vaccine to those who were originally scheduled for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after the CDC and FDA recommended a pause on the J&J vaccine. Residents will also get an appointment for their second Pfizer dose. County officials do not anticipate a delay in appointments or supply issues because of the change in vaccines. Appointments for those events are being notified. For those who have already received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, if you develop severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain, or shortness of breath within three weeks after vaccination, contact your healthcare provider or call 2-1-1 to connect with a healthcare provider. The six reported cases were among more than 6.8 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine administered in the United States. For more information from San Bernardino County, click here. For information on the Veterans Affairs Loma Linda Healthcare System’s pause on the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and using the Moderna vaccine, click here.

California For All
Income eligible households that need financial assistance for unpaid rent and utilities are able to apply for help through the California COVID-19 Rent Relief program. If you have experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19, have past due rent or utilities, and have a household income that is not more than 80% of the area median income, you may be eligible to receive help to pay past due or future rent and utilities. Landlords and renters can verify eligibility by visiting COVID-19 Tenant Relief Act or by calling 833-430-2122 and, if eligible, apply.
Who can apply?
- Landlords
- Renters
HOW IT WORKS
Unpaid rent
Landlords who participate in the California COVID-19 Rent Relief program can get reimbursed for 80% of an eligible renter’s unpaid rent between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, if they agree to waive the remaining 20% of unpaid rent during that specific time period.
Eligible renters whose landlords choose not to participate in the program may apply on their own and receive 25% of unpaid rent between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021. Paying this 25% by June 30, 2021 can help keep you in your home under the extended eviction protections in SB 91.
Future Rent
Eligible renters can receive future rent assistance equal to 25% of their monthly rent. Combined with the assistance available for unpaid rent, future assistance will help renters stay housed once the eviction protections in SB 91 expire on June 30, 2021.
Utility Assistance
Eligible renters may also receive assistance for unpaid utilities and future payments. Unpaid utilities accumulated from April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021 will be compensated at 100% of cost, limited to a total of 12 months.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Applications must include required information, along with necessary verification items. Once an application has been successfully processed, both the landlord and renter will be notified about the application status
